Admission fee includes the wedding showcase, a swag bag full of eco-goodies, the fabulous eco-fashion lounge and show, and a ticket for one free glass of local wine or beer. Unlimited water and coffee/tea will be provided to all attendees. All attending brides will be entered in the drawing to win fab prizes. All attendees will receive 5 raffle tickets as part of their admission. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase in the compassion wine bar; 1 ticket $1, 6 tickets $5, arms length $10.

A portion of the door will be donated to participating charities.

Need directions by mass transit?

Take Metro’s Green Line to the College Park – U of MD Station. We will have a complimentary shuttle bus transport you to and from the show.

When exiting, use the East Kiss and Ride exit (look for the big office building). If you go through a tunnel, you used the wrong exit.

Look for our greeter with the Mid-Atlantic Green Wedding Showcase sign who will direct you on the shuttle.

The shuttle will run a loop between College Park/U of MD Station and the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. The ride is approximately 10 minutes in duration. Shuttles run every 20-30 minutes.

The first shuttle will depart College Park/UM Metro at approximately 12:45 p.m.

The last shuttle will depart the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Need directions by car?

Please note! There are no street addresses for buildings on the University of Maryland campus, so we strongly encourage you to NOT utilize MapQuest or GPS. The Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center does not have a physical address.

From Baltimore and points north: Take I-95 South to I-495/exit 27and follow signs to exit 25B, College Park/U.S. Route 1 South. After proceeding on Route 1 approximately one mile, take the right exit onto Route 193 West/University Boulevard. Precede two traffic lights to Stadium Drive. Turn left onto Stadium Drive and bear right at the traffic circle. The Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center is on the left.

From Washington DC and points south: Take I-95/I-495 North to exit 23, MD 201/Kenilworth Avenue South towards Bladensburg. Take the first exit for MD 193 West/University Boulevard. Cross under Route 1 and precede two traffic lights to Stadium Drive. Turn left onto Stadium Drive and bear right at the traffic circle. The Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center is on the left.

From Annapolis and points east: Take US Route 50 West towards Washington, DC and follow to exit 7B for I-95/I-495 North to College Park/Baltimore. Follow to exit 23, MD 201/Kenilworth Avenue South towards Bladensburg. Take the first exit for MD 193 West/University Boulevard. Cross under Route 1 and precede two traffic lights to Stadium Drive. Turn left onto Stadium Drive and bear right at the traffic circle. The Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center is on the left.

From Frederick and points west: Take I-270 south to I-495 East towards College Park/Silver Spring. Follow to exit 25B, College Park/U.S.Route 1 South. After proceeding on Route 1 approximately one mile, take the right exit onto Route 193 West/University Boulevard. Precede two traffic lights to Stadium Drive. Turn left onto Stadium Drive and bear right at the traffic circle. The Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center is on the left.

Parking

Paid parking is available at the Stadium Drive Parking Garage located next to the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center and Byrd Stadium. Each parking space is numbered and payment is made at payment stations located at the pedestrian exits. Parking rates on Sundays are $3/hour or $5/day maximum.

Free surface parking is available in Lot 1. Follow signs to Lot 1.

Handicap Access

Five handicapped-accessible parking spots are available adjacent to the Riggs Alumni Center. Once you bear to the right of the traffic circle, take the first left into the driveway for the Stadium Drive Parking Garage. The parking spots are clearly marked on your immediate right.

Handicapped attendees may also be dropped off at the door where a staff member will be available for assistance.

Inclement Weather

In case of snow, ice or other weather events the Mid-Atlantic Green Wedding Showcase will run in accordance with the University of Maryland’s weather policy.

If the University of Maryland, College Park campus closes due to inclement weather, the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center will be closed and the Mid-Atlantic Green Wedding Showcase will be rescheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2010.

Sign Language Interpreter

For our hearing impaired guests, a sign language inerpreter will be available at the show from 2pm through 5pm, including during the Aveda Institute Eco Fashion Show. Please contact Lori@greenweddingshowcase.com for additional questions on this service.
